Färjås Yoga Retreats is beautifully located between the sea and the mountains. The quiet simplicity of nature is a crucial part of our immersive retreats.
We hold weekend retreats in yoga, tantra, and meditation. During Christmas and summer, we open for longer, more in-depth retreats, as well as opportunities for a more holiday-like yogic B&B experience.
We offer tailored retreats for individuals, couples, or groups. Get in touch to learn more.
At the moment, we do not offer any courses or classroom teaching.
However, we hold open meetings where we practice and discuss together. You can also participate online, via Zoom.
Keep an eye on Facebook or call to find out more!
Private lessons can be offered, on-site or via Zoom.
Do you need to get away for a while to read or write your book, delve into the next chapter of your life, or move forward with your yoga practice or meditation?
We offer you a yogic B&B but also the possibility for longer monastic stays in a cottage or private room.
We can provide meals, teaching, and coaching, and tailor the accommodation to your needs.
Färjås Yoga Retreats has for ten years integrated traditional esoteric yoga into contemporary everyday life. The natural area of Färjås lies like an untouched cradle along the coast between Särö and Vallda, 30 km south of Gothenburg.
We explore how the esoteric principles of yoga can form the foundation for a meaningful life here and now. We cultivate the land and gather firewood from the forest. In active interaction with the surroundings, inner and outer nature merge into an intimate whole of health and holiness – the state known as yoga.
Our activities are based on the four cornerstones of the monastery: spirituality, health, creativity, and community engagement. We collaborate with authorities and civil society on the challenges that society faces both locally and globally, for example with Trika Mahasiddha Yoga, Sörmlands Stavgille, the Church of Sweden, the County Administrative Board of Halland, the West Coast Foundation, Kulturtemplet, Soteria International, Vallda Hembygdsgille, and Valldaturen.
“With yoga as a tool, I have found at Färjås a way to untangle physical and mental knots and develop a deeper understanding of myself and the world. Konrad gently and knowledgeably guides his students towards yoga and meditation as a way of life, creating at Färjås a place for community, profound seriousness, and great joy. I look forward to continuing my practice and my development for a long time to come!”

A creative place where there is room for reflection, feelings, and love to flow freely. Many thanks to Konrad for giving the opportunity and support. Had a wonderful 12 days in silence, wouldn't want to be silent anywhere else! See you again.

What is now Färjås Yoga Retreat's main house was built by great-grandmother Noemi, so that she could spend her final years here in Färjås. When she passed away, Uncle Ove stayed on, and I remember both of them with the greatest affection and gratitude. Many of the furnishings have been allowed to remain over time, as well as some portraits, since the place continues on from their history.
For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by stories, myths, art, beauty, the power of nature, and the weave that connects the inner with the outer beyond time and space. After early spiritual experiences, I initially pursued further studies in academia and then in the arts. During more than ten years of university studies in Sweden and abroad, I was constantly in contact with this unspoken, but it was not until I encountered the esoteric yoga tradition that I found both the language and the method for what was so important to me.
I stumbled into yoga in 1996, which for the past twenty years has plowed the main groove in my life, both as a teacher and a student. In the last decade, the ancient Nordic tradition and the Nordic martial art of Stav have increasingly occupied me.
At the same time, I have continued and deepened my work in art and social issues. Since 2010, I have been working with human rights in the European Parliament, and over time, various positions of trust have become increasingly important.
In 2012, I returned to Sweden to, within the framework of Färjås Yoga Retreats, explore the esoteric principles of yoga in active co-creation with the surrounding nature and society.
